Robotics is on the verge of major transformation. While in factories robots have been taking over a significant amount of human labor for more than 60 years, contributing to increased productivity, the new challenge is whether they can find their place among people outside industrial environments. Although a true breakthrough is still some distance away, the rapid development of technology is creating numerous new opportunities.
Humanoid and quadruped robots will be presented by researchers from the Department of Ethology at ELTE and employees of Infuze Technologies Ltd.
Program:
- Ádám Miklósi (Department of Ethology, ELTE) – Are robots already among us?
- János Körömi (Infuze Technologies Ltd.) – Bionic robotics and physical AI
- Ádám Miklósi (Department of Ethology, ELTE) – Robots in restaurants and nursing homes: Opportunities, reality, and challenges
- Sára Roszik (Department of Ethology, ELTE) – Animal encounters with robots
