Hunting is a constant battle against nature and against ourselves, a battle to hear the game as well as we can, while, as humans, we do our best to lose this refined hearing. How can we preserve or even improve our hearing while protecting it? Our lecture is about resolving/resolving this constant dichotomy.

The prestigious trophy scoring system of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) is known worldwide and has Hungarian roots, following the deer scoring formula of Nadler Herbert. Trophy scoring is used to evaluate the biological and ecological characteristics of trophy wildlife in a given area according to objective, measurable traits. By building its international database, CIC will continue to focus on a scientific approach and the use of data in research. The presentation will give the audience an insight into the trophy assessment process.

As a resident of Budapest, we have been holding Transylvanian kopos for the eighth year. Every day we promote a way of life close to nature, which even a city dweller can create for himself if he is willing to change his schedule and is able to dedicate himself to a real coexistence with a hunting dog. It is a special experience and a challenge to spend your everyday life with this wonderful breed of hunting dog. Along with learning about the hunting culture, it opens up a world and we also become traditionalists by taking advantage of the unique instincts of the Transylvanian hound. In this presentation, we will show you how to keep a well-balanced Transylvanian Copo in the capital city, based on our own examples and experiences.
